A public forum and panel discussion was held in Oxnard at the California Lutheran University (CLU) extension facilities, hosted by Professor Herb Gooch. Panelists included Jonathan Ziv for the proposed City of Channel Islands Beach, Matt Winegar for the City of Oxnard, Bob Braitman of the Santa Barbara Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) and Everett Millais of the Ventura County LAFCO.

The second public meeting of the Channel Islands Beach Cityhood Formation Group was held again at the Casa Sirena Hotel in Channel Islands Harbor at 7:30 P.M.

The new expanded boundaries of the proposed city to include South Oxnard were discussed as well as updates on new time lines and election strategies. The meeting was well-attended and more new contact forms were handed in as additional volunteers and interested residents expressed support for the cityhood concept.

The first public meeting of the Channel Islands Beach Cityhood Formation Group drew over 100 attendees. Nearly sixty people submitted contact forms to indicate interest in cityhood and/or volunteer (we would have had more but we ran out of forms!)
